Welcome to 19secret. Be one of the first to use the service!

random tip

You can use both letters and numbers as the "from". If you set the "from" to a number that will be in the address book of the recipient (the "to"), their phone will use the name that has been asigned to that number.

19secret has been "Suspended"

Please see the home page for more details.

19secret has been "Suspended" ... and is probably not coming back! :(

Without contacting us beforehand or knowing how we operate, an unnamed Australian Telco has decided to suspend the 19secret service. We were not doing anything wrong.

Despite users obeying the Terms of Service which they agreed to before registering, the unnamed Telco decided that it did not want people masking SMS, or sending anonymous SMS messages. It is just like blocking caller ID on your phone, or changing your reply-to address in an email, or not putting a return address on an envelope!

Anyway, we tried to get the service reinstated.

Its a new way to send SMS messages! There are two types:

Send anonymous SMS messages! When you create a text message:

  1. enter the "to" (the recipients number); then
  2. enter your message; and then
  3. send it to 19secret (19 732 738).

The recipient will receive the SMS and not know who sent it.

Send SMS and make them appear like they have come from another person or number. When you create a text message:

  1. enter in the "from" (number or name you wish the message to appear from); then
  2. enter the "to" (the recipients number); then
  3. enter your message; and then
  4. send it to 19secret (19 732 738).

The recipient will receive the SMS and it will look like it is from the from number you entered. Note, 10 minutes later a follow up message will be sent telling the recipient that the message was sent through the 19secret service.
